Impressions from concerts of the 1st Intercultural Africa Festival “1000 Drums” on 27th and 28th July, 2019, at the Culture Factory WERK 2 at Leipzig.
These artists gave free concerts: Bala Ranks, Dolus Mutombo & Bena Kwetu, the Interactive Community Concert 1000 Drums, Jah Hero, Jalikebba & Friends, madamtamtam, Mandingkora Band, Mayakan, Ndungu Kina, Noma Nkwali, Rootsmanding, Sam & Reggaemandingband, Samba da Palmeira Pintada, Soy-Deging, Vollmondorchester, Wontanara and two young singers.
Percussion workshops, dance, bazaar, actions for children, information and a seminary had been offered.
Many friendly guests kindly donated to the benefit of children aid projects in the Gambia.
We thank all guests and the participating artists and supporters of the festival.
